Autumn is the season when Fujikawaguchiko is bathed in the red of the autumn trees.

When the temperatures drop below 10 degrees, the lakeside takes on a new kind of charm, different to the reds and yellows of summer.

Autumn Leaves Festival
The number of maple trees at the Kawaguchiko lakeside reaches approximately 500. November is the peak time for beautiful autumn scenery at the lake's edge. There are always various events held at the hub of the event, and every night the "Maple Corridor" is illuminated, creating a magnificent ambience.

Autumn Leaves March
When the lakeside is colored with the autumn leaves, the Official Japanese Marching Group and the Japanese Sports League hold the Autumn Leaves March. This event runs for 2 days, with over 4000 participants.

Saiko Nikkon Sports Cycle Grand Prix
The supreme bicycle race of eastern Japan. 2000 athletes compete during the peak of autumn, at the lakes edge. As the athletes show their trained strength surrounded by gorgeous scenery, cheering on the athletes becomes an event in itself.
Kawaguchiko Nikkon Sports Marathon
Said to have the greatest scenery of any marathon in Japan, and thus is the most popular among the "Resort Marathons". Experience the magical Mount Fuji, the falling autumn leaves, and the beautiful lake Kawaguchiko during your run and you will be instantly hooked. As this course is relatively flat, even those fairly new to marathons can try their hand against more advanced runners who often have this course recommended to them.

Every year, bass fishermen come in great numbers to the Autumn Festa. At the main event location, Koumi Park, people crowd around to the bass fishermen's award ceremony. Separately, at Michi no Eki, all sorts of specialty products are on sale, and games for anyone from children to adults are held.
