Yamanashi Institute of Environmental Sciences
[Nature and people living together in harmony] as a theme, this research laboratory was able to mark Yamanashi on the map for nature in Japan. It is here that the cleansing power of nature is researched to help turn the region into a better place. Not only a place to store information and dispatch researchers, this is a place of discussion and communication between locals, local scientists and scientists from abroad.

Biodiversity Center of Japan
Japan is blessed with an ecosystem full of weird and wonderful creatures and plants. The Biodiversity Center, located at the northern base of Mount Fuji, is teaching people about Japan’s irreplaceable nature and biodiversity in a way that everyone can understand.
