Note1: The olympiad is not a competitive one, but rather a chance for people from all over Japan and the world to meet in nature and enjoy the comradery of sport. A chance for like minded people to exchange ideas and freely participate together.
The Federation of International Civic Sports (IVV) was established in Europe in 1968 and has, in recent years, reached up to 2,500 participants. The Olympiad is held every other year by a different host, and the number of participants has been increasing every year. A great chance to make lasting contacts and friendships around the world.
For the first time, the event will be held in Asia. Surrounded by the beauty of the Fuji five lakes area, Fujikawaguchiko town is proud to be it's host.
