Mt.Fuji Flower Festival (April 17th ~ May 31st). Shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko station.

The Mt.Fuji flower festival will be held at the resort town of Motosuko lake.  Come and view the brilliant radiance of over 700,000 flowers planted with the motif decoration of Mt.Fuji and enjoy festival treats.

Kawaguchiko "Fujizakura" Cherry blossom & Azalea Festival (April 25 ~ May 3)

The "Fujizakura" cherry blossoms and azalea accentuate the beauty of Mt.Fuji. It's beauty has been penned by many a famous writer, such as Osamu Daizai.

Fuji cherry blossoms are particular to only the Mt. Fuji area. You can usually view them from late April to early May. It's brilliant pink scattered amongst the red pines and wild trees of the Mt. Fuji forests are truly unique.

Come one and all, and welcome the spring amongst the rare beauty of the foothills of Mt.Fuji and the festive atmosphere of the "Fujizakara" and azalea festival.

Kawaguchi Sengen Shrine Annual Festival on April 25th

Magomi matsuri is the name for the Kawaguchi Sengen Shrine Annual Festival. The ancient dance to the local shinto gods "Chigonomai" is performed in traditional dress and music amongst the ancient cedars of the venerable forest shrine.

Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine Annual Spring Festival on April 25th

Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine is Mt. Fuji's oldest shrine. Takeda Shingen worshiped at the shrine. "Hana Matsuri" is the name for Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine annual spring festival. There are many festival stands and attractions in the shrine on that day, providing a truly festive atmosphere.

Katsuyama Horseback Archery Festival (April 29)

The festival, with a history of over 900 years begins with the traditional ceremony for good fortune in battle - a ceremony that tells of the bravery of the samurai of feudal Japan. The ceremony ends in a dramatic display of real archery from horseback. At the sound of the drums, the horses dash forward, kicking sand into the air. The archer aims and fires in an impressive display of marksmanship. This spectacular finale is like something from the picture scrolls of the warring state period of Japan.

Motosu Nobilities Parade (May 17)

Motosu Nobilities Parade is a traditional festival which has been held for 300 years. It is held on May 17th. Motosu Nobilities Parade dates back to the Edo era. The festival celebrates the history of the local historical figure Hitoyanosuke Watanabe. He was in charge of gaurding the border "Motosu Sekisho Gate" for Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa. The celebration brings one back to the atmoshphere of the Edo-era.

The Niagara Flower and Lantern Festival (From June~)

From the beginning of June in Oishi park come and enjoy the "Niagara waterfall of flowers" and lantern festival. A beautiful view of Mount Fuji with flowers and lanterns. There are always seasonal flowers blooming along the walking paths around Oishi park and the nature building.

Fujikawaguchiko Herb Festival( June 18 ~ July 11)

The Fujikawaguchiko Herb Festival is one of the biggest events of the year. It is held in Yagizaki Park & Oishi Park every year. There are many attractions including cafe and food stalls where you can enjoy a relaxing herbal tea. You can take part in small workshops where you make herbal arts and crafts. You can also participate in the gardening contest. There will be some live music concerts and on special nights there will also be small fireworks and illuminations.

Saiko Road Race ( June 20)

Let's run and feel the breeze of Lake Saiko and "the sea of trees." The annual Saiko Road Race is held at beautiful lake Saiko, Mt.Fuji. The area is surrounded by the green mountains and cool breezes of the early summer. Try to beat your personal best time or just run for health and fun, while enjoying the view of Mt.Fuji. Why not come with your friends and family to enjoy Saiko Road Race.

Kawaguchiko ・Mt.Fuji Opening Fireworks Festival

On the first Saturday in July, the Fireworks display commemorates the opening of the climbing season of Mt.Fuji.
You can enjoy watching a grand fireworks performance from Lake Kawaguchiko.

Lake Saiko's Fireworks Festival (August 2nd : ( 8 / 2 )

A festival at Ryūgū shrine to celebrate the god of water, Toyotamahimenomikoto. The illumination of the Japanese lanterns and fireworks weave together to turn the lakeside into an fantasy world.

Lake Kawaguchiko's "Kojōsai" fireworks festival (August 4th: ( 8 / 4)

Lake Kawaguchiko's Kojōsai is the largest fireworks display in the entire Fujigoko area.
It is held on August 4th.
You can enjoy various fireworks, the fireworks contest and the 400-meter long `Niagara waterfalls` beautiful fireworks display through the summer night sky.
